Ashwini Kamat to join MediaCom as GM

Ashwini Kamat (pictured) who recently quit Starcom MediaVest Group, Bangalore will join MediaCom as general manager, Mumbai. In addition, she will also be overseeing strategic communication planning, research, insights functions across MediaCom clients.

Ashwini Kamat (pictured) who recently quit Starcom MediaVest Group, Bangalore will join MediaCom as general manager, Mumbai.

In addition, she will also be overseeing strategic communication planning, research, insights functions across MediaCom clients.

Kamat has been in the media industry for over 12 years which includes the experience of heading an office, steering new business development, strategic media planning, media implementation, below the line and rural media activation. She has worked on categories like soaps, skin care, financial services, automobiles, retail, insurance, online lotteries, liquor.

Commenting on Kamat's appointment, Divya Gururaj, MD, MediaCom said, "Ashwini is one of the brightest people in the media industry and I’m delighted to have her in our team. With her leadership, we will continue to strengthen our ROI based planning, which has been a key focus and strength."
