The technology companies tried pulling pranks on customers with 'Ola News Network' and an 'Anti Aging Ice-cream', while McDonald's offered users free fries for the year

April Fool's Day: Ola, Uber, McDonald's battle it out
Ahead of April Fool's day, Ola and Uber announced that the technology companies will be rolling out new initiatives.

Ola announced the launch of 'Ola News Network'. It  was labelled as Ola’s news vertical to deliver hyperlocal news and came with the motto ‘#NewsYouCanUse’. The platform was to use Ola’s driver partners who would double up as on-ground reporters, sharing local city developments in real-time!

Uber used its Eats platform to announce the launch of 'Anti Aging Ice-cream'. The video announcing the launch stated that 'limited stocks' would only be available.

McDonald's India joined in too. Using Twitter, the brand offered a free supply of fries for an entire year. Users were asked to find a hidden code in the image. The code read, 'Happy April Fools Day'.
