400 per cent growth in flight tracking apps since outbreak of Coronavirus in India: Report
According to a report from InMobi, there was a 400 per cent growth in usage of flight tracking apps between the first week of January and 11 March.
 
The report studied the effects of Covid-19 on the lives of consumers in Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi.
 
As expected, footfalls in malls, restaurants and amusement parks reduced even before the lockdown was enforced. 
 
According to the report, flight tracking and booking apps were most used as panic lead to continuous monitoring of flight operations by citizens. 
 
Other apps which saw a spike in usage include image and video editing (60 per cent increase), gaming (110 per cent increase), books and comics (200 per cent). Mobile browsing saw a 37 per cent increase.
