Snapdeal rides cash crunch with #UnboxCashFreeSale

Watch the ad films conceptualised by Famous Innovations here

Snapdeal has rolled out two films for its '#UnboxCashFreeSale' that was held on 5 and 6 December. The films have been conceptualised by Famous Innovations.

One film shows a child play with a robot. The voice over reveals that is his tenth robot. As he looks to shake hands with it, he breaks it. He calls upon his dad, who reacts angrily. The mother comes in and takes the son's side. The next shot shows the trio together unboxing a Snapdeal parcel, which contains his 11th robot. The film ends with a voice over that says 'Cash ho na ho, life ke transactions kabhi rukne nahin chahiye.' (Whether there's cash available or not, transactions shouldn't stop).

Another film is set at a wedding reception. One guest showers the couple only with blessings, while another gifts them something old and worn out. The bride's best friend walks in with a gift in a Snapdeal box, purchased from the Cashfree sale.

Shahnawaz Qadeer, creative director, Famous Innovations, said, “The films bring alive real situations that people are facing these days due to the paucity of cash, but treats them in a light-hearted manner to pitch Snapdeal's upcoming promotion. The promotion has been perfectly time and should be a boost to those held back due to the current cash crunch"

The films went live on 1 December 2016.
