Pepsico India has launched its first brand campaign for its zero-calorie drink, Pepsi Black. Titled ‘max taste with zero sugar’ the campaign consists of a film featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, which recreates the brand's famous commercial from the 90s featuring Cindy Crawford (below).
The film is set at a gas station on a highway. Two boys, who are filling their car's tanks, see a girl on a motorcycle, pull over. As she parks her bike and removes her helmet, it is revealed that the girl on the bike is Fernandez, who has seemingly left the duo mesmerised. She then uses a vending machine for a can of Pepsi Black. As the film progresses, the true reason for the duo being mesmerised is revealed to be Pepsi Black.
Saumya Rathor, category lead, Pepsi Cola, PepsiCo India, said, “With more and more people looking for sugar-free alternatives especially post the pandemic, and with an intent to bring more positive choices to our consumers, we are all geared to launch the new Pepsi Black that brings max taste with no sugar. It has also been wonderful to collaborate once again with the beautiful Jacqueline Fernandez who fit perfectly into our vision of recreating the iconic Cindy Crawford commercial. We are confident that this campaign will make waves here as it did globally and will be loved by our audiences.”
Along with the TVC, the campaign will also be spanning digital, outdoor, and social media.
