The Israeli content recommendation and monetisation solution provider, Taboola has opened its office in Gurugram, its second office location in India. The adtech player already has an office in Bengaluru.

The office inauguration event, held on May 27, 2025, was attended by senior Taboola leadership including Eldad Maniv, president and chief operating officer, Kristy Sundjaja, chief people officer, Chanan Fogel, vice president – APAC, Aaron Rigby, regional director – APAC, and Harpreet Singh, country manager, India. In addition, Israel’s Ambassador to India, HE Reuven Azar, and key figures from the advertising and media industry in the country attended the event.

Along with the new office opening, Taboola has also expanded its office capacity by over 50%, to support its team of more than 170 people in India. With this expansion, Taboola hopes to provide greater support to its publisher partners and customers in India.

Commenting on the new office opening, Eldad Maniv said: “India is an important market for Taboola. Opening our Gurugram office will allow us to be closer to our partners and support their growth with the tools and expertise we’ve built globally.”

At the inaugural ceremony, Taboola made a few announcements regarding its media industry partnerships in India. For instance, the adtech player has renewed its partnership with Jagran New Media, which started in 2022, for the next three years. The partnership focuses on content personalisation for Hindi-speaking users and revenue generation across Jagran’s digital platforms.

The company also extended its partnership with The Indian Express Group, which began in 2018, for another three years. Indian Express was among the first to implement Taboola’s mid-article and homepage widgets to boost reader engagement and content relevance.

Taboola works with organisations such as Times of India, NDTV, and CNBCTV18, offering them access to 60 crore active users daily through Realize, its performance advertising technology platform that operates beyond search and social platforms.

As part of the launch event, Taboola hosted two roundtable panel discussions. The first one was titled, ‘The New Media Mandate: Redefining Performance in a Platform-First World’. The panellists discussed how brand marketers have been adapting to a fragmented media ecosystem, re-looking at key performance indicators (KPIs), and examining fresh methods to outgrow the closed digital platforms. Another panel discussion session, titled, ‘From Dependency to Diversification: Shaping the Future with AI, Personalisation and Partnerships’ highlighted revenue diversification and content-commerce strategies on the open web.

Panellists included Chanan Fogel of Taboola, Sanjay Sindhwani of Indian Express Digital, Abhishek Sharma of HT Digital, and Puneet Gupt of Times Internet. The discussion highlighted how AI, personalisation, and strategic partnerships are enabling publishers to build scalable growth models.
