Jet Airways scripts a Christmas reunion; says 'Fly Home' for the festival

Watch the film conceptualised by Cheil here

Jet Airways has released a film ahead of Christmas conceptualised by Cheil Worldwide India. The film follows the 'reunion of loved ones at festivals' route, with a surprise element.

It features interactions between a young woman and her mother around the festival. The duo discuss the girl's choice of outfit, Christmas gifts for each other, decorations for the tree and their Christmas cake. Until this point, it seems like the mother and the young woman are in the same house. When they discuss the cake, it is revealed that the conversations are happening on a video call. The lady's cake is missed by the daughter. Jet Airways puts out its message of flights across 46 cities in India and 20 abroad, encouraging viewers to 'Fly Home' for Christmas. The film ends with the young woman surprising her mother at home, gift in hand.

Belson Coutinho, VP, marketing, e-commerce and innovations, Jet Airways, said, “This film marks a continuation of Jet Airways’ people-oriented communication, aimed at engaging the young, new-age, audience, which is rapidly emerging as one of the biggest segment of global travelers. They are looking for and guided by increasing options in terms of choice, connectivity and comfort and convenience – all of which are offered by Jet Airways. Our earlier campaigns – on Independence Day and Diwali – which showed a different and hitherto unknown side of India, have done exceedingly well, drawing strong acknowledgement from our guests and the online community.”

The film is running on digital media and was published online on 16 December 2016.
