FNP (Ferns N Petals) has rolled out a campaign #KhaasRishta (special relationships) featuring actor Mithila Palkar and The Great Khali to showcase its gifting options for the holiday season.
Conceptualised by Media.Monks, the 30-second films showcase how Palkar and Khali put the spotlight on thoughtful gifts and how that helps them strengthen their bond.
The first film showcases Khali debating on what he should gift his special friend. Palkar advises that since it's a special friend, he or she requires a special gift. She then goes on to share how FNP can help him with that. The film ends with Khali gifting Palkar a box full of flowers, revealing his special friend is her.
The second film opens with Khali seated near a piano, feeling sad because Palkar hasn't wished him as the clock strikes 12. Palkar then goes on to tell him that it's still 11:59 and at that very moment the doorbell rings, disclosing her FNP gift to Khali.
The third film sees Khali and Palkar in the closet. Khali tells Palkar that he wants to gift a bouquet to his girlfriend who is as special as his heart. Palkar tells him that a special bouquet like that can only be found on FNP. The film ends with Khali gifting the bouquet to Palkar.
Sai Tota, head digital marketing, FNP, said, "With more than eight million happy customers, FNP has been the market leader for more than two decades in gifting. We felt it was time to talk about what's great about gifting on FNP - the ideal place to buy and send flowers, cakes, gift hampers, personalised gifts and much more to your loved ones. The three film campaign aims to establish the main propositions that make millions of consumers come to us every year. After all, some special relationships need a special touch.”
Azazul Haque, CCO, Media.Monks, said, “The brief was to establish FNP as a premium gifting brand with an emphasis on what sets us apart from any other player in the gifting category. Like showcasing an array of exotic and unique flowers and bouquets, a range of premium gifts beyond flowers and midnight delivery which no other gifting brand offers. Special offerings for special (Khaas) relationships were the idea that excited everyone in the team. Then to make sure the campaign stands out in the clutter we thought the special friendship between The Great Khali and Mithila will not just catch everyone's attention but will also be very endearing. FNP is all about strengthening such endearing special relationships.”
Haque added, “The special relationships or #KhaasRishtas shown in all FNP campaigns aim to be endearing, relatable and yet 'visually attention grabbing', be it the earlier Anil Kapoor-Janvi Kapoor pairing or the visually disruptive pair of The Great Khali and Mithila. What's also interesting about the campaign is how the campaign depicts the Great Khali as a regular guy with a softer side who's worried about finding the right gift for loved ones...just like everyone else. Mithila plays his friend and helps him solve typical gifting-related issues via FNP.”
