This week, we asked Shivanand “Doc” Mohanty, national creative director, Dentsu Communications, on his reading plans for the weekend. He plans to keep himself occupied with two books:

‘Different: Escaping the competitive herd’ by YoungMe Moon

"Moon is a Harvard professor who explores what it takes to stand out in today's overcrowded world. She writes simply, avoids jargon and peppers her ideas with effective illustrations. Most of the cases she talks about are from her own experience. But the learning is universal. There is no “Top 10 ways to...” kind of lists in this book, yet. Which is refreshing."

'Daylight Robbery' by Surender Mohan Pathak

"The cover is pure kitsch. The blurb on the back carries a quote from Anurag Kashyap: "When I was growing up, there were two people I wanted to be: Amitabh Bachchan and Surender Mohan Pathak." That should be a good Sunday afternoon, I think."
