Weekend fun: Beat the heat, stay indoors and watch sports!

With temperatures soaring across the country, staying indoors might be a smart thing to do this weekend.

Once you’re home, there’s plenty of sport to catch on your television screens as there’s cricket, football, Formula 1 and tennis to keep you company.

The Mumbai Indians take on the Rajasthan Royals in the third playoff of the IPL later tonight. The winner of this match takes on Chennai Super Kings in the final on Sunday. Watch both the games on Sony Max and Sony Six at 20:00 hours.

The European football season comes to an end tomorrow with the final of the UEFA Champions League. In an all German affair, Bayern Munich takes on Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in London. Watch this at 00:15 hours on Sunday (late Saturday night) on Ten Action.

For motorsports fans, there’s the Monaco Grand Prix to look forward to. Set in the principality of Monte Carlo, the street race will host round six of the Formula 1 season. Red Bull’s Mark Webber, last year’s winner, has had an indifferent start to the season. Going by that, we might have a new winner. Watch the qualifying on Saturday at 17:30 hours, and race on Sunday at the same time, on Star Sports and Espn HD.

France stays in the news as the second Grand Slam of the year begins on Sunday, 26 May 2013. Coverage for the clay court tournament starts at 14:30 hours on Neo Sports and Neo Prime.
