Things They Like: Ferzad Palia
It’s hard to find Ferzad Palia (SVP and GM, English entertainment, Viacom18) at work without his iPhone and the iPad. He believes that these are his must-haves at office as they have everything one would need in a ‘smart’ gadget. A gaming enthusiast, Palia terms the Xbox a ‘necessary evil’ in his life which helps make work fun.

At private parties, Palia prefers to opt for a glass of scotch to unwind and have fun rather than stay glued to a screen. At industry events, the ear plugs come in handy so that he can select what he would like to lend his ears to - and the rest he can miss!

Palia stays away from formal wear as he finds it too boring. Instead, he is most likely to be seen in informal attire irrespective of whether it’s work, party or industry events. For denims, he heads to Calvin Klein as he loves their jeans.

His prized possession is his silver bracelet, which he can rarely be spotted without. In watches, he prefers Tag Heuer. But for footwear, there are no favourites. Comfort is the key - he is willing to wear any brand as long as his feet feel comfortable.

His favourite brand of perfume is the Hugo Boss, which he believes is ‘classic’ and one can never go wrong with it. London remains his favourite holiday destination as he feels that he has explored that city in a way many wouldn’t have. On his wish list for 2014 is a trip to South Africa.

Asked about his dream car, he says, “If I were to talk about my dream, I wouldn’t limit it to a car. I rather dream big, I would love to own a private jet. Mumbai roads are too crowded to drive around.”
