MK Agrotech, the parent company of Sunpure aims to bolster its existing presence in the Maharashtra market by targeting a revenue of INR 120 crores in FY 2023-24

Sunpure acquires Riso
Sunpure has announced the acquisition of Riso, an edible oil brand.
 
This move is a part of MK Agrotech's, (the parent company of Sunpure) aim to bolster its existing presence in the Maharashtra market by targeting a revenue of INR 120 crores in FY 2023-24. 
 
Riso has had over a 10% of market-share in the state prior to the acquistion and aims to grow it by twice its size in the next two years. 
 
Gokaran Singh Pawar, national sales head, MK Agrotech, said, “We have been looking at brands across geographies to help expand Sunpure’s footprint and diversify into different edible oils and food products. We are thrilled to start this new chapter of growth with Riso, a much-loved edible oil brand across Maharashtra. The synergy is perfect as we share the same vision of enhancing the health and well-being of our consumers.”
