No Indian entries in Innovation shortlist

Spikes Asia 2016: Record 5,132 entries received
Spikes Asia, the three-day festival of creativity in in Singapore, has announced that it has received a record 5,132 entries from 23 countries for its awards competition. The festival had received 4,351 entries last year. 
 
The major increase in entries have come from Healthcare (up 72 per cent), Design (40 per cent) and Direct (34 per cent).
 
Terry Savage, chairman, Lions Festival, said, “Creativity in Asia Pacific continues to excel globally with three of the top 10 most awarded countries at this year’s Cannes Lions coming from the region. The growth in entries is reflective of the fantastic work coming from this creative community and Spikes Asia is a platform for this work to be celebrated. This increase demonstrates just how important the region is becoming in the global creative communications sphere."
 
Innovation shortlist announced
 
The first set of shortlists for the awards were also announced. No Indian entry has made the cut in the Innovation category.
