Shoppers Stop appoints Debasish Gupta as head of marketing and loyalty
Shoppers Stop has announced the appointment of Debasish Gupta as customer care associate and head – marketing for loyalty and analytics. Gupta will report to Salil Nair, customer care associate and CEO, Shoppers Stop. He was marketing head at Marks & Spencer prior. 
 
Govind Shrikhande, customer care associate and managing director, Shoppers Stop, said, “We are happy to announce that Debasish Gupta has joined our team. Debasish shares our values and our focus on innovation and customer-delight. He brings rich domain experience and marketing leadership to Shoppers Stop. I am confident that his vision and leadership will help us grow by leaps and bounds.”

Gupta's mandate is to expand and grow the First Citizen loyalty programme and create revenue growth through big data and analytics initiatives.
 
He said, “Shoppers Stop has a rich legacy in the department store format spanning over 25 years and it is now on the cusp of pivoting to an omni-channel retailer. I’m excited to join the company at this inflection point in its journey.”
 
Gupta has also worked with Godrej, Tata, Mahindra and Landmark.
