BBDO India has announced the appointment of Priyanka Rishi as GM and EVP for its Mumbai office. Rishi will head the office and report to Suraja Kishore, CEO, BBDO India.

Rishi was previously working with Taproot Dentsu where she was GM.

Kishore said, “Agencies of the future will be shaped by people who can dig their experience as big data and can use their intuition to latch onto possibilities of tomorrow- Priyanka is one such rare talent that we are delighted to have discovered.  A thorough bred professional who has under her belt 18 years of big data on building brands and business, she took time off to deepen her intuitive side through art. When I met her, I was infected by her clarity and conviction in expanding her canvas by reimagining the business of advertising.”

Josy Paul, chairman and CCO, BBDO India, added, “We are thrilled to have Priyanka join the leadership team at BBDO India. Priyanka is an artist, strategist and business leader all rolled into one. Breakthrough brand thinking is in her blood. Her ability to sense the world and the moment gives us the edge as we explore the future of our creative business. Priyanka is our lead guitarist. She’ll play the lead.”

Rishi said, “It is a privilege to join the agency which has created some of the most memorable work of our times. What’s even more exciting, is that Josy and Suraja are not content to sit on past glory - they want to shape the future of brands and businesses. Their vision, candidness and focus on creating an energetic work culture inspired me to partner them in this journey.”

She has also worked with Ogilvy, Publicis, JWT and DDB Mudra.
