Ogilvy nets creative mandate for NDTV’s Indianroots.com

Ogilvy has won the creative duties of NDTV’s newly launched e-commerce venture Indianroots.com. The website, part of NDTV Ethnic Retail,  was soft-launched earlier this month.

The pitch was led by Ogilvy’s digital and e-commerce teams, informed an agency statement. Ogilvy’s Delhi office will handle the launch and promotion campaigns of this new venture across media channels.

IndianRoots.com will offer 'Indian ethnic fashion' goods across categories to audiences across the world.

Rahul Narvekar, CEO, NDTV Ethnic Retail, said, “The Indianroots journey has just begun and I'm excited we've joined hands with the team at Ogilvy to explore, innovate and create.”

Harshad Hardikar, senior vice-president, e-commerce and CRM, OgilvyOne Worldwide, said, “This is a very prestigious business win for us. We are especially very happy since on this business, we see a great multi-discipline interplay with core e-commerce, digital and a traditional advertising work.”
