MiD DAY launches 'Brief to Brand'

MiD DAY has launched a new section 'Brief to Brand' which will appear every Friday starting today. The section will be a compilation of marketing and advertising industry news.

Each issue will profile a personality who will talk about the brands he/she has created, built or helped grow as well as memorable campaigns and brands that influenced him/her. The issue will also include a 'Brand Story' featuring a topical campaign or a brand that has been launched or revamped that particular week. 'News Briefs' will offer short reports on agency activities, awards, account movements and 'Job Hop' will give updates on job vacancies.

Manajit Ghoshal, CEO, MiD DAY Infomedia said, "We have been thinking about this section since quite sometime.  We cater to YUMPI (Young Urban Mobile Professionals across India) group and advertising and media are the 'YUMPI-est' of sectors and it is one of our sectors. This page will let us connect to the young professionals and to the media industry."

As to who are his competitors for 'Brief to Brand', Ghoshal says, "We will be competing with Afaqs, Exchange4media and your publication (Campaign India)."

MiD DAY is not doing any specific campaign to promote the page. "We are hoping that this will create a buzz in the market by itself. We are not doing any specific campaign for the launch but we have ongoing BTL activities around YUMPI," he adds.
