M&C Saatchi India has appointed Hemant Sapre as senior creative director and vice president. Sapre will partner Parveez Shaikh in leading the creative product of the agency from Mumbai.

Sapre comes with 18 years of experience in advertising and design. He began his career in advertising with Lintas (now Lowe), where he worked for three years before moving to Trikaya (now Grey) and then to Contract Advertising. During his 11-year stint at Contract, he grew to become a creative director. He took charge of design arm, Design Sutra, at Contract in 2003 and later moved to Collage and DMA.

Sapre has worked across brands like Cadbury, ITC Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Bajaj Auto, BPCL, Kinetic Motors, Dunlop, Allianz Bajaj, Franklin Templeton and Prudential ICICI among others.

"I am absolutely delighted to have Hemant on our side. I have worked in close partnership with Hemant during his 10 odd years with Contract over two stints. His creative talent and approach fits perfectly with M&C Saatchi's 'Brutally Simple Thinking' philosophy and I have no doubt he will be an asset to our team," said Parveez Shaikh, senior vice president and executive creative director, M&C Saatchi India.
