INS elects Mohit Jain as president and K Raja Prasad Reddy as deputy president

New office bearers were elected at the 82nd annual general meeting

The Indian Newspaper Society, an apex body publisher of newspapers, magazines, and periodicals in the country, announced newly elected office bearers at their 82nd annual general meeting held on 17 December 2021. 
 

The new office bearers of INS' executive committee for the year 2021-22 are as follows: 

 

  • President: Mohit Jain, board member, executive director, Economic Times, Bennett Coleman (Times Group)
  • Deputy president: K Raja Prasad Reddy, director, advertising and Marketing, Jagati Publications
  • Vice president: Rakesh Sharma, national head sales, circulation, The Statesman
  • Honorary treasurer: Tanmay Maheshwari, director, Amar Ujala
  • Chairman – advertising committee: Hormusji N. Camab, director, Bombay Samachar

 

INS appointed new chairperson positions in its regional committees as well. They are as follows: 

 

  • Andhra Pradesh: KRP Reddy, director, Jagati Publications
  • Kolkata, Bihar, and Jharkhand: Ravindra Kumar, editor and managing director, The Statesman
  • Chandigarh: Vijay Kumar Chopra, web editor, Punjab Kesari 
  • Gujarat: Kiran B. Vadodaria, chairman, Sambhaav Metro 
  • Kerala: M.V. Shreyams Kumar, managing director, Mathrubhumi Arogya Masika
  • Karnataka: K N Tilak Kumar, editor, Deccan Herald 
  • Maharashtra: Pratap G Pawar, chairman, Sakal
  • Madhya Pradesh: Karan Rajendra Darda, editor-in-chief, Lokmat Aurangabad
  • Mumbai: Kundan R. Vyas, editor-in-chief, Vyapar – Janmabhoomi Group
  • Delhi: Gaurav Chopra, founder, Filmi Duniya Digital 
  • Orissa and North East: Samahit Bal, director, Pragativadi
  • Rajasthan: Somesh Sharma, chief executive officer, Rashtradoot
  • Tamil Nadu: R. Lakshmipathy, publisher and partner,  Dinamalar
  • Uttar Pradesh: Shailesh Gupta, director, Jagran Prakashan
