Draftfcb+Ulka appoints Kartik Smetacek as CD

Draftfcb+Ulka has appointed Kartik Smetacek as creative director. He joins from Publicis Ambience where he was senior creative director.Smetacek has also worked at ideas@work, Contract Advertising and Rediffusion Y&R. His portfolio includes Citibank, Tata Sky, Exide, Airtel, Taj Hotels, HSBC, Listerine, Cadbury’s, Travelguru.com, Stephen Brothers and Bigadda.com

Draftfcb+Ulka appoints Kartik Smetacek as CD

Draftfcb+Ulka has appointed Kartik Smetacek as creative director. He joins from Publicis Ambience where he was senior creative director.

Smetacek has also worked at ideas@work, Contract Advertising and Rediffusion Y&R. His portfolio includes Citibank, Tata Sky, Exide, Airtel, Taj Hotels, HSBC, Listerine, Cadbury’s, Travelguru.com, Stephen Brothers and Bigadda.com

Commenting on the appointment, KS Chakravarthy (Chax), national creative director, Draftfcb+Ulka said, “I was looking for one senior person and I know Kartik from before. He is extremely versatile and talented. He is strong on both ideas and execution. Right now was the best time to appoint Kartik as things are picking up and there is a fair amount of activity in the agency. He will primarily be working on our most visible accounts like Tata Motors and Tata Docomo.”
