Digital Media Awards: Interactive Avenues bags a Gold, two Silvers; ‘Kolaveri’ snares Silver and a Bronze

Coca-Cola was crowned Digital Brand of the Year, while Digital Agency of the Year was Wunderman (in partnership with Ogilvy, Ikon and Naked), which executed the ‘Share a Coke’ campaign

Indian entries bagged five metals at the Digital Media Awards announced in Beijing this evening. Interactive Avenues bagged a Gold and two Silvers, while the Jack in the Box-Sony Digital Music Marketing combine won a Silver and a Bronze.

Interactive Avenues bagged Gold for its work on American Express ‘Gunning for Gold on LinkedIn’. The same entry also won a Silver for the agency, and so did ‘Did Your Designation Just Change?’ also for American Express.

Also bagging Silver was ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ by Jack In The Box Worldwide & Sony Music Digital Marketing Team for Sony Music Entertainment India. The same entry also won a Bronze in another category.

Coca-Cola earned recognition as the Digital Brand of the Year, while Digital Agency of the Year honors went to Wunderman (in partnership with Ogilvy, Ikon and Naked), which executed the soft drink brand's 'Share a Coke' campaign.

Another Coca-Cola campaign, Coke OFW by McCann Philippines, took home the coveted Platinum award.

"I shouldn't be commenting on it, because it's a McCann work, but it's a beautiful, beautiful piece," said jury president Matias Palm-Jensen, who as European chief innovation officer for McCann Erickson abstained from voting or comment on the entry during judging. "It was so strong emotionally, and so real, and that's hard."

Out of a shortlist of 106 entries, the judges awarded 10 Gold, 18 Silver and 21 Bronze trophies (see full listing below).

Top winners for Gold were 'Share a Coke' by Wunderman (in partnership with Ogilvy, Ikon and Naked), which took home three Golds, and 'See From Sound' for the Amarin Book Centre Thailand by McCann Worldgroup/MRM, which earned two.
