Delhi HC dismisses petitions filed against Viacom18 and Network18

Delhi High Court, in a single judgment, dismissed petitions filed by MSM Discovery and STARDEN against Viacom18 and Network18 respectively, while also awarding costs to Viacom18 and Network18.

Delhi High Court, in a single judgment, dismissed petitions filed by MSM Discovery and STARDEN against Viacom18 and Network18 respectively, while also awarding costs to Viacom18 and Network18. 

Earlier, TDSAT in its interim order dated 27th July, 2010 had restrained MSM Discovery from representing Viacom18 channels (Colors, MTV, Nick and VH1), and, in its order dated 29th July, 2010, had restrained STARDEN from representing Network 18 channels (CNBC, Aawaz, CNN IBN and IBN7). TDSAT has also passed interim order on 29th July, 2010 refusing the injunction sought by STARDEN against Network18.

Earlier, The Mumbai High Court also refused to grant an injunction to MSM Discovery in a case against Viacom18.
