Colors says “Thank You India” on first anniversary

Colors has rolled out an integrated campaign to mark the completion of one year since it was launched. The Viacom 18 GEC made its debut on July 21 last year.
Leading up to the ‘birthday week’, the campaign titled “Thank You India” will engage with viewers at various touch-points.
On the programming front, the channel is strengthening its week-end slot with three new shows, starting June 27. The line-up includes a reality show, India’s Got Talent; a kiddie laughter fest – Chhote Miyan Chapter 2 and a mythological show with a modern look – Mahavir Hanuman. Another week-day soap, “Maa Pita Ke Charnon Mein Swarg” will also be unveiled on June 29.
The Viacom 18 GE channel has tied up with print majors such as the Times Group, Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, Rajasthan Patrika, Hari Bhoomi, Lokmat, Sandesh, Hindustan, Baartman, Raj Express and Assomiya Pratidin to run the ‘Thank You India” campaign as well as announce a contest that will give the respondents a chance to appear on the channel during the birthday week.
Colors has also partnered with an NGO, ‘iDiscoveri’, to provide quality education to 10,000 children from low-income house-holds. “In one year of our existence we have come to become a brand that influences people through its meaningful content and programming,” said Rameet Arora, marketing head, Colors. “The ‘Thank You’ campaign is our way to show gratitude to our fans that have made us what we are today.”
As part of its on-ground activities, the channel’s management along with the stars will hit the roads and visit various Hindi-speaking markets across the nation.
