Snapdeal woos sellers, promises to take them closer to their dreams

Watch the ad film conceptualised by Leo Burnett here

Snapdeal has rolled out the second phase of its ‘Dil Ki Deal’ brand campaign. This film conceptualised by Leo Burnett woos sellers to the platform, by showcasing what it can do to help them fulfill their dreams.

The film begins declaring that it has been shot using real sellers on Snapdeal. A group of young boys play cricket on the street in small town India, as brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s voice over commences the narrative. Khan asks, “Kisne kaha choti galiyon mein badi sapney nahin hote?” (Who says there are no big dreams in small towns?)

He adds that it doesn’t take much time for a business to grow from one town to becoming pan-India today, as visuals reveal entrepreneurs going about their day. Among those featured are a home-fittings maker from Rajkot, a garment manufacturer from Tirupur, a saree craftsman from Varanasi and a handbag designer from New Delhi. They are shown using Snapdeal to grow their business, by catering to customers across the country. Khan underlines that one doesn’t have to sit at a cash counter to make money. He surmises as he makes an appearance: “Jab aap ka aur customer ka faasla kum hoga, tak aapke sapne, aur kareeb aayenge. Karo Snapdeal par business. Yahan hain 4 crore se zyada customers” (When the distance between you and your customers reduces, your dreams will come closer. Do business on Snapdeal, home to over 4 crore customers.)

Sandeep Komaravelly, SVP, marketing, Snapdeal, said, “This campaign is an extension of our overall brand goal of driving life-changing experiences for lakhs of small and medium business owners across the country. We have tried to capture the success stories of some of the sellers who are already selling on Snapdeal and growing their business exponentially. Our effort through this campaign is to reach out to millions of entrepreneurs, small and medium businesses across the country to sell their products online on our platform.”
