Policybazaar shows quirky exchange between widow and deceased husband, highlights insurance importance

Watch the ad film conceptualised in-house here

Policybazaar.com has rolled out a TVC that has been conceptualised in-house.

The film aims to show the importance of having a long-term insurance plan. It opens with a lady walking into a psychic readers' office. She places a photograph of her husband, and requests her to make her talk to him once. The lady touches the picture. A few seconds later, through the psychic reader, the lady's husband asks her how's she doing. The widow informs him that when she doesn't miss him, she looks for his term insurance papers and asks where he's kept them. The man sheepishly replies that he forgot to purchase the insurance. The tone of the woman changes, and she starts shouting at him for forgetting to do so. She reminds him about the scheme they had shortlisted on Policybazaar.com and angrily asks him how will she now take care of expenses.

Naveen Kukreja, group CMO, Policybazaar.com and CEO, PaisaBazaar.com, said, “Term insurance with sufficient life cover is a must have product for a person with dependents. The main objective of a term insurance plan is to provide replacement of your income in your absence. But usually habitually procrastinating consumers defer their decision of purchasing a term plan. Our motto is to empower customers so that they can take right decisions at a right time to protect their loved ones. The new TVC is reinforcing our brand philosophy.”

Sai Narayan, head of marketing, Policybazaar.com, added, “Through the campaign, we aim to re-emphasise the importance of financial protection and change consumers’ mindset which tend to believe that they are invincible and won’t die young. In our country, insurance has always been sold with a push factor and considered to be a tough and tedious task.   The TV commercial also accentuates the ease of comparing and buying insurance policy. Though the commercial has entertaining and humorous quotient attached to it but surely leaves behind the strong message of securing financial future of the family.”
