Snacking Brand, 4700BC, has released a digital campaign ‘Make the most of the present’, to mark the gifting season with a character named Mr. BC. Conceptualised by the brand’s in-house team, the film features the character as a person constantly seeking fun and humour.

The film portrays anecdotal scenarios involving gatecrashers. Mr. BC crashes a gangster themed retirement party in a unique attire. In different scenarios, he is constantly seen involved in bizarre acts, right from calling a guest an I-Spy for wearing an eye patch, to using a mirror for showing a guest’s card to the other members playing poker. Throughout the party, he remains unobjected by the host, until an inquisitive guest asks him why he’s letting the strange man be around. He then smirks and tells the guest that he is intrigued by 4700BC tin that Mr. BC bought him as a gift.

Chirag Gupta, founder and CEO, 4700BC, said,  “At 4700BC, we have always endeavoured to win hearts through relatable and relevant content. Our social handles are replete with issues, topics, and anecdotes which resonate with the millennials. Our brand talks to them and hence this year for the gifting season, we wanted to tell a novel story to a generation that is drawn to unique & unconventional gifts. If we had to appeal to their taste, the communication too had to be highly richly novel and groundbreaking.”

Abhishek Kumar, brand head, 4700BC, said, “Right from the moment we conceptualised the campaign, we wanted to make a film, not an ad. We, as storytellers, wanted to bring in a format of communication that defies all the cliches. Right from the visual and colour theory to the character-driven narrative, the latest campaign has a groundbreaking template in advertising. We are immensely proud of the in-house brand and Creative team (average age of 22) to have masterfully mounted this stellar communication with the character Mr. BC in an era where the huge dependency on celebrities is seen.”
