MMGB: OurBetterWorld strikes a chord with Maiya's story

See how Touch Nature soap in Kolkata is helping trafficked sex slaves change profession

Start your Monday morning with this story from OurBetterWorld.org, which captures an initiative by Touch Nature soap factory in Kolkata founded by Josephine.

The factory has got women employees who were tricked or forced, and pushed into life as sex workers. The factory provides these women with an alternate livelihood.

The video tells the story of one of them, Maiya. Sold at the age of 13, and unable to even read or write, she had given up all hope of moving out of prostitution. When she got the opportunity to, she grabbed it with both hands. She now makes soap.

Have a wonderful week ahead.
