Lava Mobiles makes 'Never lets you down' promise with Dhoni and Babbar

Lava Mobiles has rolled out two new films. The films are part of the campaign featuring Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni and Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar. Through an interaction between the duo, the brand reiterates the number of tests carried out on Lava phones, while highlighting a feature in each film. The campaign has been conceptualised by Soho Square.

One of the films features the two busy on their respective mobiles, playing a game. In the midst of which, Dhoni gets a call from the team manager. But the phone hangs and he is unable to take the call. Babbar asks him to 'swipe slowly'. Dhoni carries on with the game, saying the call will come again. The team manager calls back, but on Babbar's Lava phone. The actor answers. The manager passes on a confidential message, after Babbar promises not to reveal it to anyone. When Dhoni asks what the message was, Babbar tells him that each Lava phone undergoes thousands of tests, so it never lets you down. When Dhoni asks him again, Babbar keeps his promise and refuses to share the message, even with an exasperated Dhoni.

Another film features the duo at a store, with Dhoni looking to buy a handbag for his wife. She calls him just then. The cricketer asks whether she liked the handbag. He had sent her a picture. The red handbag looks orange to her, she says, thanks to Dhoni's phone. Confirming that Babbar is around, she asks Dhoni to click a picture with his phone instead. This gives Babbar the cue to remind Dhoni about the thousands of tests on Lava phones.

The films were published on Lava Mobiles' YouTube page on 28 October 2016.
