Yahoo’s Chandrabhanu Pattajoshi joins PrecisionMatch as business head

PrecisionMatch, an audience data provider for display advertising in India, South East Asia and Middle East Asia, has announced the appointment of Chandrabhanu Pattajoshi as business head. He moves on from Yahoo India, where he was national head for sales strategy.

At PrecisionMatch, Pattajoshi will lead sales, business development, alliances and partnerships. He will be in charge of expansion plans as head of the business, informed a company statement.

Nitin Chowdhary, who was business head, moves to a corporate role at SVG Media to strengthen the display product and technology backbone, the statement added.

On his move, Pattajoshi said, “The future of display advertising on the internet lies in data targeted RTB. Data targeted display is an adopted practice in the West and has helped automobile brands, CPGs, retail players boost sales, drive footfalls, increase website traffic etc. I am confident that data targeted display will change the dynamics of online advertising, and brands in India will soon witness an interesting inflection point. I am excited about the challenge that comes along with this opportunity and certain that we will soon set a new trend in the market.”

Manish Vij, founder and chief executive officer, SVG Media, said, “We are delighted to have Chandrabhanu Pattajoshi onboard and confident that under his guidance PrecisionMatch will make deeper inroads into the market with the right customer education as data targeted advertising is a relatively futuristic way of display advertising by ad networks.”

Pattajoshi has spent over 16 years in business development and media sales. He has worked with Radio One and Star TV in past assignments.
