Starcom IP hires Lowe's digital head

Starcom IP, the digital marketing arm of Starcom MediaVest Group, has announced the appointment of Ambika Tiku as its business director and market lead for India. Tiku takes over from Hari Shankar who shall be moving into a product focussed regional role.

Starcom IP, the digital marketing arm of Starcom MediaVest Group, has announced the appointment of Ambika Tiku as its business director and market lead for India. Tiku takes over from Hari Shankar who shall be moving into a product focussed regional role.

With almost nine years of experience in the industry, Tiku's last assignment was with Lowe India where she was heading the digital arm. She is expected to join in the last week of June. Said Tiku, "Starcom IP has been focusing on more consultative digital solutions approach rather than cookie-cutter answers. I'm excited by the opportunity and look forward to extending the same vision with the team at Starcom IP India."
 
Commenting on the appointment, Pushkar Sane, general manager, Asia for Starcom IP said: "As we evolve our product from largely internet driven to now include mobile marketing and technology applications, we are looking forward to Ambika taking the Starcom IP offering to a new level."

Starcom IP also recently appointed Sankalp Bala as Group Head in its Mumbai Team. He comes to Starcom IP from Group M Interactions where he specialized in Search Engine Marketing.

Starcom IP operates as a branded entity in several markets in Asia. Some of the key Starcom IP clients in the region include General Motors, Samsung, Jet Airways, Oracle, Procter & Gamble, Singapore Tourism Board, Sony, Sun Microsystems, and Western Union.
