Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has announced the appointment of Ajay Bhalwankar as the business head for its upcoming Marathi general entertainment channel. Bhalwankar had joined SPN in 2014 and was chief creative director at Sony Entertainment TV.

In a career spanning more than 20 years, he has also worked with Zee across two stints.
