Australia, Canada, Norrway, South Africa win two Young Lions each; Indian agency MAP acts as brief-setting partner for Design category.

Professionals from 21 agencies win Young Lions 2025 awards

Cannes Lions announced the winners of the 2025 Young Lions Competitions, marking the 30th anniversary of the global programme that spotlights young creative talent. This year, Turkey secured its first-ever Gold in the Marketers category, while Guatemala recorded its first win with a Gold in Film.

India was represented in the competition through the Design category, where the Museum of Art and Photography India (MAP) served as the brief-setting partner. However, India did not feature among the winners this year.

In Design, Canada won Gold for ‘IN Frame’ by Jesse Shaw and Zoë Boudreau of Rethink. Georgia took Silver for ‘Expression Timeline’ by Daniel Grigorian and Nino Kavelashvili of Holy Motors, and Poland received Bronze for ‘Keep Calm and Frame the Scroll’ by Mariia Demianiuk and Marta Goździewicz of Redkroft.

In Digital, sponsored by EY, South Korea earned Gold for ‘The Wildest Profile’ by Subin Oh and Sunmi Park of Cheil Worldwide. Norway won Silver for ‘Running Wild’ by Jakob August Andresen and Svein Werner Lyngmyr of Anorak NoA, while Australia secured Bronze for ‘AirBnBee’ by Amy Morrison and Laura Murphy of M+C Saatchi.

Guatemala achieved its first win in Film with ‘Victoria has a Secret’, created by Ana Paula Escobar Farrington and Diego Leonel Apen Díaz of El Taier DDB. Silver went to South Africa for ‘Two Centuries Too Long’ by Paula Andropoulus and Khomotso Makoto of TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris JHB. Portugal earned Bronze for ‘FROM UNDERSEEN TO UNDERSTOOD’ by Beatriz Roque and João Bronze of BBDO Portugal.

In Media, Norway won Gold for ‘Hidden in plain sight’ by Angelika Marcinkeviciute and Maja Skaug Wirum of GROUPM NORWAY AS. Silver went to the United States for ‘Below the Belt’ by Dana Nathanson and Morgan McAlister of Initiative. Canada received Bronze for ‘To Be Cracked’ by Samuel David-Durocher and Tristan Bonnot-Parent of Cossette Media.

Turkey won its first Gold in the Marketers category with ‘Lines of Resistance’ by Sedef Selcan Ozcan and Selda Ozturk of Kenvue. Australia took Silver for ‘Signal For Sight’ by Jenny Kim and Keira Spencer of Google. Spain won Bronze for ‘The better you see it, the more you taste it’ by Bruna Roca García and Nahomi Vargas of Kraft Heinz.

In PR, MENA took Gold for ‘The Silent B’ by Raneem Saleh and Youssef Yammine of Burson. France won Silver for ‘CONSTRUCTION WORKER BEES’ by Louis Govindin and Remi Vincent of Weber Shandwick Paris. Czech Republic earned Bronze for ‘Build the Buzz’ by Adam Rektor Polánek and Jakub Wija of Hero and Outlaw.

In the Print category, Colombia secured Gold for ‘The world needs more time’ by Carlos Arturo Orjuela Torres and Nicolás Castro Barrios of Sancho BBDO. Mexico won Silver for ‘You Should Be Scared Too’ by Ana Sofía Valdez Blanco and Fátima Alejandra Quiroz Alderete of GUT MEXICO. The Netherlands received Bronze for ‘Forbees’ by Kiki Knoops and Yascha Puts of DDB Amsterdam.

Held during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the 2025 Young Lions Awards saw a total of 21 winning teams winning the metal. The categories included Design, Digital, Film, Media, Marketers, PR, and Print. The awards comprised one Gold, one Silver, and one Bronze per category.

This year's Young Lions Awards saw a participation from approximately 230 two-person teams, representing nearly 460 young professionals. These teams came from nearly 67 country-markets across the world.

The competitions were judged by members of the Cannes Lions Jury and supported by Adobe. Bee:wild, Ovarian Cancer Action, and the Braille Institute were among the other organisations providing briefs to participating teams. Serving as the media partner for the second consecutive year at Young Lions, The News Movement offered behind-the-scenes coverage and interviews.
