Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman, McCann Worldgroup has been selected to be a part of the Cannes Lions 2009 Titanium and Integrated jury. The category, which will be chaired by Droga5’s David Droga, was introduced at Cannes in 2003 to recognize the power of the big idea, irrespective of the communication channel used.

Speaking to Campaign India from New York, Joshi said, “The Titanium and Integrated Lion is one of the most prestigious awards. It is a recognition of compelling ideas which completely redefined the brand. There are ten people on the jury and I am the first Indian to be selected on it.”
Talking about work from India that he thinks may qualify, Joshi replied, “In the Titanium category, I don’t see there being any Indian entry that might qualify because I feel that here we still don’t think that way. But in the Integrated category, I believe that there are chances for India.”
