MediaCom bags media mandate of MakeMyTrip.com

 

MediaCom has won the media business of MakeMyTrip.com following a multi-agency pitch. 
 
Commenting on the new agency appointment, Mohit Gupta, chief marketing officer, Offline Marketing, MakeMyTrip.com said, “After a hugely successful 2010 when MakeMyTrip established its leadership position in India, we are now embarking on an ambitious growth plan for 2011. We aim to focus on our communication strategy as part of our aggressive marketing plans. MediaCom as an agency has displayed great calibre and holds promise in successfully executing our communication strategy. We are glad to be associated with them and are looking forward to a fruitful relationship.”
 
On the win, Debraj Tripathy, chief operating officer, MediaCom India added, “The opportunity to use our skills, to help MakeMyTrip.com further their brand and business is immense and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
