Lavanya Wadgaonkar to head Nissan's communications in India

Nissan Motor India has appointed Lavanya Wadgaonkar as head, corporate communications, Nissan India.

Wadgaonkar will report to Takayuki Ishida, managing director and chief executive officer, Nissan India, and Matthew de la Haye, vice president communications, Africa, Middle East, India and Europe.

On Wadgaonkar's appointment,  Ishida said, “We are happy to welcome Lavanya to Nissan. We are sure that her wealth of communications experience will help us achieve our growth targets in India. India is an important engine of growth in the region, and Lavanya’s communications leadership will help us tell our story of expansion and investment.”

Prior to joining Nissan, Wadgaonkar has worked as general manager and head of public affairs and corporate marketing for Eaton India, a power management company.
