The International Advertising Association of India has partnered with C Squared Communications to bring Simon Anholt, a specialist on Nation Branding strategy, to run a special Masterclass event in Delhi on 3 September, 2009.

The International Advertising Association of India has partnered with C Squared Communications to bring Simon Anholt, a specialist on Nation Branding strategy, to run a special Masterclass event in Delhi on 3 September, 2009.

Simon Anholt (pictured) advises governments around the world, as well as organisations such as the United Nations, NATO and the World Bank.  He is the author of several journals and books on international relations and of “Competitive Identity: the New Brand Management for Nations, Cities and Regions”.  Anholt will lead this Nation Branding Masterclass to focus on opportunities present for emerging economies like India in the present scenario, where developed nations are struggling with economic challenges.

The Nation Branding India Masterclass will take place at The Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi and will also feature keynote presentations from Amitabh Kant, author of “Branding India: An Incredible Story” and Special Commissioner for Industry for the Government of Kerala; Ramesh Sharma, chairman and managing director, The Moving Picture Company (India) and a member of the Key Advisory Body to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India and Suhel Seth, managing partner, Counselage India, India Brand Equity Foundation.

Raj Nayak, president of the IAA India Chapter says, “This Nation Branding Masterclass will focus on issues that are key to all brands and marketing companies whose values and profitability are tied to the global perception of our nation – we are delighted to be involved with an event that will bring government policy makers and corporate leaders together to focus on the brand of the Indian nation and also the nation brands of our closest neighbours.”
