Grey to acquire majority in rural specialist RC&M

WPP announced on 18 December that group entity Grey, the advertising network of Grey Group, has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Indian rural communications and marketing services provider RC&M.

RC&M was founded in 1990. Headquartered in Delhi, the agency has offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru and employs 320 people. The WPP statement added that RC&M's unaudited revenues for the year ending 31 March 2013 was Rs 36 crore.

RC&M marks WPP’s 12th acquisition in India in the last nine years.
