Draftfcb+Ulka has won the creative account of Micromax, a wireless telecommunication solutions company.  The business will be handled out of the agency’s Delhi office.

The account was won following a multi-agency pitch in which three to four agencies participated.

Commenting on the win, Sanjeev Bhargava, COO, Draftfcb+Ulka Delhi said, “We presented a strategically sound approach to the marketing of the Micromax brand. The accent was on the understanding of consumer behavior, their purchase patterns and the motivations to choose one phone over the other. The credentials of the agency in building brands from scratch also played an important role."

Speaking about the plans for the brand, Bhargava added, “Micromax is an exciting and innovative company which is very quick on its feet as well. We believe we need to leverage their innovations with the consumer as this is a category that thrives on exciting innovations.”
