Dainik Bhaskar revamps English portal Dailybhaskar.com

Targets Tier 2, 3 towns; seeks to position offering as ‘coolest site in the online news space’

Dainik Bhaskar revamps English portal Dailybhaskar.com

In a bid to further strengthen the group’s offering in the online news segment, Dainik Bhaskar group recently revamped its English news portal, Dailybhaskar.com.

On the thought process behind the revamp, Kaustuv Chatterji, head – brandcomm and marketing, Dainik Bhaskar Digital Division, said, “We have strong presence in Hindi and Marathi markets, but English is something we’re focusing on now in a big way. With the revamp of dailbybhaskar.com, we expect a lot of traction of Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns.”

Chatterji added, “With the new look, we wanted to ensure that the site looks more vibrant, cool and sexy.  Content-wise, we will be looking to offer not just news but everything that our TG is looking out for.”

On the marketing strategy, he explained, “The idea was to position ourselves as the coolest site in the online news space. We’re using print and online media to promote the revamp of the site.”

Key markets the website expects maximum traction from are Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai.
