Cleartrip gets travellers to do the talking in new TVC
Travel portal Cleartrip has unveiled its latest campaign which revolves around the thought, "Every trip has a purpose".
The TVC, created by Publicis Capital, sees the Cleartrip team visit places like airports, railway stations and hotels to ask people there their reasons for travel. The film only consists of answers given by travellers and ends with a voiceover that says, "Every trip has a purpose".

Commenting on the campaign, Niraj Seth, chief marketing officer, Cleartrip, said, “We believe that this campaign will speak directly to the hearts and minds of all travellers, whether you are a long time customer of Cleartrip or a first time traveller. After all, everybody has a purpose behind why they travel. This concept is real; with real people and real life experiences.”
Commenting on his experience of working with Cleartrip, Emmanuel Upputuru, national creative director, Publicis India, said, "Cleartrip is the gutsiest client I have met. Who would send out an agency and a production house without an approved script and cast, forget costumes and locations? Is it the best example of co-creation?”

On the challenges in making this film, Bauddhayan 'Buddy' Mukherji, director and founding member, Little Lamb Films, said, “Never have I had so many butterflies in my stomach before a shoot. We were scripting history … A dialogue heavy film without a script… That was the challenge … the fun … That was what sets this project apart!”
Along with this TVC, Cleartrip has created a dedicated microsite www.cleartrip.com/mypurpose for this campaign, where visitors can discuss why they travel and share travel tips amongst other features.
