Cannes Lions 2012 announces Tech Talk

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity have announced the launch of ‘Tech Talk’, a new stream of technology content at the Festival. Tech Talk will be in the form of a series of curated talks by thought leaders from digital media and marketing companies. Open to all delegates, these sessions will take place twice a day, at 10:00hrs and 14:00hrs, from the Monday through to the Friday of the Festival in the Palais des Festivals. Tech Talk is being sponsored by MediaLink.

Terry Savage, chairman, Cannes Lions, said, “With the introduction of the new categories Mobile and Branded Content and Entertainment and the huge success that we are already seeing with these, it makes sense to introduce these dedicated sessions to a community that is always moving forward and constantly embracing new forms of technology. To be able to hear directly from the lifeblood of the technology media and marketing industry, is an unmissable chance to learn, be inspired and ultimately create ground-breaking work."

"This is a platform where the thought-leaders directly responsible for developing innovative, market-tested solutions will talk about the environment that that they are responsible for changing. It will be compelling for all the constituencies at the Festival," added Michael Kassan, chairman and chief executive officer, MediaLink.

Full details of the Tech Talk programme will be available on the Cannes Lions website shortly.
