Balakrishnan is Chairman Emeritus, IAMAI

Ajit Balakrishnan, Founder, Chairman and MD of Rediff.com is the Chairman Emeritus of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). In his capacity as the Chairman Emeritus, a life-time appointment, Balakrishnan (pictured) would head the Council of past Chairpersons and provide strategic direction to the association as well as the Internet and Mobile Content and Services industry.

Ajit Balakrishnan, Founder, Chairman and MD of Rediff.com is the Chairman Emeritus of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). In his capacity as the Chairman Emeritus, a life-time appointment, Balakrishnan (pictured) would head the Council of past Chairpersons and provide strategic direction to the association as well as the Internet and Mobile Content and Services industry.
IAMAI's governing board has also unanimously elected Sanjeev Bikhchandani, as Chairman for the year 2008 to 2009. Bikhchandani is the founder and CEO of Info Edge India which owns Naukri.com, Jeevansaathi.com and 99acres.com. Bikhchandani said, “Building bridges and partnerships with relevant government agencies is the top priority. Broadband penetration, better terms of business for online publishers and mobile content and services industry too are on top of the list. Overall the digital industry needs focused collective action to make internet and mobile content and services popular and, at the same time, create an enabling environment for business”.
