Aggie to quit JWT by Jan end

Agnello Dias, chief creative officer, JWT India, has put in his papers. He will serve the agency till the end of January 2009. Dias (pictured) will not move to another creative agency, but will turn entrepreneur with a venture of his own.

Speaking about Dias' exit, Colvyn Harris, CEO JWT India says, “Agnello has played a very important role in the creative success of JWT in recent years, and we appreciate all his efforts towards this end. Over the next couple of months, he will be an integral part of a succession plan – that ensures a seamless change in creative management for our clients. We are fortunate that our strategy of full service creative talent in each and every business unit we have in our markets will be able to seamlessly continue with their roles and responsibilities.”

For a major part of the time Aggie (as he is known) spent at JWT India, he has been an Executive Creative Director at JWT Mumbai. He was promoted to the position of CCO early in 2008.

Aggie said, "I have had a wonderful time at JWT, which has provided a fantastic canvas for my creativity and has helped me achieve creative highs unlike any other. Seeing the energy that surrounds me here, I believe for JWT this is just the beginning”."

JWT India's creative team has recently seen a lot of movements, with Tista Sen being promoted to senior VP and ECD Mumbai, Shamik Sengupta being transferred as head of Creative Kolkata, and Mahendra Bhagat being promoted as NCD, Fortune.
