Chraneeta Mann leaves Rediffusion Y&R

Former NCD plans own venture

Chraneeta Mann leaves Rediffusion Y&R
Chraneeta Mann, national creative director, Rediffusion Y&R, has exited the agency.

While she isn't certain of her next move, the former NCD informed Campaign India that she is considering starting her own venture. Mann spent five years at Rediffusion Y&R in her last stint and seven years in an earlier assignment.

She said, "I've been fortunate to be part of brands like Airtel, PVR, Amway being built. I'd say it has been a character building experience. Rediffusion Delhi had hit a bit of a low post the loss of some big businesses. To decide to stay on at a time when the chips are down and take on the challenge of helping rebuild the agency, took a great deal of belief in one's capabilities. During that time we did some great work on some of our brands, regained lost ground with wins like Videocon (flat panel displays and handsets), India Today, Hotels.com, Virgin Atlantic, Paras Dairy etc.

"I enjoyed being part of that turnaround immensely. It introduced me to the entrepreneurial side of my personality. And well I guess I am a bit of a hunter. I enjoy chasing leads, winning businesses, providing differentiated, more contemporary creative solutions. I'd say for now I plan to take that forward. The plan is to venture out on my own, and I should have something concrete to share in a month or so."
