Dr. Fixit, the waterproofing brand from the house of Pidilite Industries, has unveiled a TVC ahead of the monsoon season. The campaign conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather will also straddle print and digital.

The film features a man holding a board. Its colour keeps changing. As it begins to rain, he holds the board above his head to protect from the downpour. The protagonist says that one can choose any colour for the walls of the house, but for the roof, which is the most important wall, he prescribes Dr. Fixit weatherproofing. The film ends with the equation 'Dr.Fixit = Waterproofing' and a helpline number.

Vivek Sharma, chief marketing officer, Pidilite Industries, said, “Dr. Fixit offers a range of waterproofing products, which address all the critical areas of waterproofing. With this new TVC, we are educating consumers about terrace being the most important wall of any house and it is most critical to waterproof the same. The new TVC is simple and focused on our messaging of preventive waterproofing.”

Amitabh Agnihotri, senior creative director, Ogilvy – Mumbai, said, “While waterproofing their homes people are concerned about their walls but they forget waterproofing the terrace which adversely affects the walls as well.”
