Disney+ Hotstar lands the 'free streaming' message for the Asia Cup, World Cup

Watch the film conceptualised by Moonshot here

Disney+ Hotstar has rolled out a film for the upcoming Men's Asia Cup and Men's ODI World Cup, which will be streamed for free for mobile and tablet users on the OTT app.

Conceptualised by Moonshot, the film opens with a pilot seeking permission from the ATC to land. Instead of granting him permission to land, the person manning the ATC, realises the pilot is an old friend and engages in conversation with him. As the fuel continues to drop, the pilot is exasperated by the talk which is steered to the man at the ATC asking for his Disney+ Hotstar login details in order to watch the Asia Cup. That's when the pilot and the co-pilot inform him about the tournament being available for free on the mobile and tablet and also tell him about the same offer for the ICC Men's ODI World Cup.

A Disney+ Hotstar spokesperson said, “Cricket holds a special place in the hearts of Indians, and we want to make this sport even more accessible to our users. By offering the opportunity to watch the Asia Cup and the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 for free on mobiles, we are geared up to take cricket to every corner of the country and tap into digital-first audiences. The campaign film too reflects the same ethos, bringing to light the lengths we Indians go to follow cricket, along with Disney+ Hotstar’s commitment to delivering a top-notch and convenient viewing experience.”
