A letter from the Republic

Teaser ad for the launch of Republic TV shows Arnab writing a letter to his viewers and taking potshots at the competition

Arnab Goswami's news channel Republic TV has launched a teaser  45 second film to announce the launch of the channel.

The film begins with Arnab writing a letter to his viewer, where he says that he has been itching to talk directly to viewers referring to his four month absence from television. Taking potshots at the competition, Goswami says that he has been seeing other anchors on-air who seem to have forgotten all about the viewer.

"I thought I'd let you know it's only a matter of time now," he proceeds in what seems like a veiled reference to his erstwhile employer, Times Now. The film ends with a see you soon message. The channel is expected to be launched by the end of this month.
