Weekend capers: Tarun Kumar

What are you planning to do during this weekend?

Photography… yes I am planning to go out with my two new buddies i.e. my camera and tripod and click some interesting pics around the city.

One film you would recommend everyone to watch.

As an art person…one movie I recommend is “Requiem of a dream” to watch this weekend. The way the story is been visualised and told is just amazing.

What according to you is a must-read book for the weekend (name of the book with author).

“To cut a long story short” by Jeffrey Archer. It’s a very nice collection of short stories with interesting twists in the end.

What’s the most played track on your media player?

Right now one track I keep on listening on a repeat mode is Rolling in the Deep by Adele.

A gizmo that you cannot live without.

My Laptop off course. it is the soft copy of my life

The last time you worked on a weekend?

Last weekend… hahaha…Advertising mein “weekend” tab hota hai jab “workend” hota hai ! (In advertising, "weekend" only starts when its "work-end")

What is your proudest achievement during a weekend?

I bought my first and only car on a weekend.  I think that was most proudest thing happened to me on a weekend till now.

What do you most dislike about contemporary culture (other than a seven-day week)?

The involvement of politics at work place… it spoils the work spirit and creates mental disturbance.

What do you most like about ad land?

Adland is always young, always creative, always new.

What’s the most adventurous weekend you have taken?

Last month I went to Jim Corbett with my friends on a weekend. Luckily we got the chance to stay inside the dense jungle area in “Marchula”. It was like a camp inside the jungle. We had to walk and track for almost 1.5 km to reach that place as the way was too rocky, steep and narrow for any kind of transport. We saw the  deers, wild boars and the tiger pug marks right in front of our guest house…. Although we missed the tiger just by few mins, the whole trip was full of thrill and adventure.

If you could wish for one change in the world this weekend what would it be?

Well I wish people of the world can realise their responsibility towards this world and start constructing it rather than its destruction.

Your ideal weekend get-away would be?

Anything near or inside jungle as I love seeing and clicking wildlife as and when I get a chance.
