Giri was earlier president and 360 Head of Office, Ogilvy Mumbai, where he worked for 13 years before taking on the STAR mandate.
Confirming the development, Giri told Campaign India, “The last one year at STAR has been a wonderful experience with both my channels STAR Jolsha and STAR Pravah doing well. I took up the Ogilvy role as it offered me the opportunity to work across Asia on Unilever brands. Asia is the growth engine for the world at the moment and India and China are key components of this growth story. I look forward to this challenge.”
