Starcom names new global management team

Starcom MediaVest Group has named a new global management team which will consist of ten executive leaders who will join Andrew Swinand, president of global operations, SMG and Sean Finnegan, chief digital officer. The team includes Marston Allen as global director of business development and marketing. Earlier he was director of new business at MediaVest in New York. Bernard Bedon joins as global director, talent and innovation.  Bedon was most recently global chief talent officer for Publicis Groupe Media. Matt Blackborn comes as global director, technology accounts.

Starcom MediaVest Group has named a new global management team which will consist of ten executive leaders who will join Andrew Swinand, president of global operations, SMG and Sean Finnegan, chief digital officer. The team includes Marston Allen as global director of business development and marketing. Earlier he was director of new business at MediaVest in New York. Bernard Bedon joins as global director, talent and innovation.  Bedon was most recently global chief talent officer for Publicis Groupe Media. Matt Blackborn comes as global director, technology accounts. In 2007, he joined as global client services director, SMG. 

Dan Mattei joins as global brand chief financial officer.  Earlier, he handled SMG's Americas operations. Sasa Savic, who led the P&G relationship across the network in the past two years has been named global director of P&G. Kate Sirkin comes in as EVP/director, SMG's Global Research. She has led SMG's global research initiatives since 2003.

The SMG leadership team will work closely with the company's regional leadership, including Iain Jacob, CEO of Europe/Middle East and Africa; Martha Marin, CEO of Latin America, Ravi Kiran (pictured) and Paul Maher, CEOs who share responsibility for Asia. "Our reinvention as Agency of the Future requires a strategic infrastructure of the right people in the right places. We've achieved good traction in this initiative, but we have much work to do. The talented team of leaders I have identified will help us move more aggressively, ensuring we become the preferred client partner in every market we do business," said Laura Desmond, CEO, Starcom MediaVest Group.
